About

I don’t want to be me.

I have turned into one of those terrible people who hates his or (in my case) her job but instead of enjoying the spare time i have, i spend most of my free time complaining about my job. I don’t want to be like this.

There are a lot of things in my life that i am thankful for. And yes: my job is actually one of these things. But i don’t want to spend my sleepless nights thinking about my job and i don’t want to spend my evenings and weekends whining about my job and i don’t want to spend my lunch breaks (Mittagspausen) working through.

So: This blog was supposed to lure me into taking a break every now and then. (Hasn’t really been working so far.)

  1. Again I can relate – I used to feel like this when I worked in a bookshop (and I love reading). I simply hated it and couldn’t enjoy my free time either, because I kept thinking about my work.
And I like your headline saying that you don’t need a break from life, but a break from not living – that’s so true!
